Wingnut Wrapup, Whining and Wailing Edition

I hope you are not done gloating over Tuesday, because Green Eagle sure isn't.  Here is a collection of some of the right wing responses to Obama's victory.  I have to say, they seem to have been so shell-shocked by the results that they have been a little slow off the mark with their insanity, but it's coming.  A few more days, and they will be right back where they started from- a pack of losers.  Well, let's get going:

Let us start out with this wonderful video, courtesy of Digby:

Isn't that just adorable?  Now, on with the show:

Katie Pavlich, Town Hall:  "Obama Claims Victory With Collectivist Message"

Twenty four hours hadn't even passed, and they were already calling Obama a Communist.  That will really help them come to grips with reality.

Brent Bozell, Town Hall:  "Throughout the very long presidential election cycle, two trends remained consistent. The media lauded Obama no matter how horrendous his record, and they savaged Obama's Republican contenders as ridiculous pretenders."

Brent, your claim about Obama is, of course, a lie.  And as for your other claim, Obama's Republican contenders were ridiculous pretenders.  Deal with it.  And, Brent, can you really say this with a straight face?  Brent goes on:

"Despite the news media's infatuation with him, Obama rarely reciprocated. He reduced to a trickle the media's access by minimizing the number of White House press conferences."

This, from a guy whose candidate refused to answer a single question from a reporter in the last month, refused to release any details of his economic plans, and didn't even have the common decency to reveal his tax forms.

Michael Barone, Town Hall:  "America Is Two Countries, Not on Speaking Terms"

And Republicans intend to do everything they can to keep it that way, apparently.  They still think it's working for them.

Kevin Glass, Town Hall:  "No Mandate: Obama Lost Ground With Key Demographics"

Kevin, you ass, Obama got one mandate:  He won the election.  Or maybe you didn't notice.  Of course, the Republicans, when Bush "won" the 2000 election due to Supreme Court corruption while losing the popular vote, acted like God himself had made Bush President (a lot of Republicans actually did believe that, but whatever...)

Ben Howe, Red State:  "The overriding problem that we as a party have is that we have two distinct camps. The Tea Party wing and the Establishment wing. Whether or not the names are fair, they basically summarize what people have come to know as the competing interests in the party. Unfortunately, both miss the most crucial part of winning elections: messaging."

Sorry to break it to you, Ben, but the most crucial part of winning this election was stopping a Republican depression, conducting a foreign policy that didn't involve starting any new wars, getting health care for tens of millions of people, paying attention to someone other than white males, and obviously being a decent human being instead of a rich, entitled, near sociopathic jerk.  Republicans had plenty of messages in this election.  They were just all lies.

And now the grand delusion of the day:

Michael Hammond, Red State:  "30 Reasons Republicans Lost The Election...
1  They Allowed Democrats To Pick Their Nominee For Them."

The rest of this article is ridiculous too, but you've got to stand in awe of the disconnect from reality involved in letting your whole nominating process be dictated by teabaggers, and then blaming the Democrats because you picked a loser.

Roger Simon, PJ Media:  "...we have a problem with democracy. It’s not working..."

Right, because it can't be democracy if a Democrat wins.

J. Christian Adams, PJ Media:  "One wonders how Romney lost this election."

He didn't get as many votes as Obama.  Think about it, buddy.  Maybe some day it will make sense to you.

Well, at this point, the dominant Republican line about why Obama won is that he demonized Romney.  Here's a sample:

Donald Lambro:  "Barack Obama and the Politcs of Character Assassination...President Obama has proven he can win re-election without a second term agenda merely by demonizing his opponent and appealing to voters' fears instead of their hopes, dreams and aspirations."

After five straight years of calling Obama a Communist, a Muslim terrorist, a traitor who is consciously trying to destroy our country, a murderer, a foreigner that has no right to be President, and anything else they could think of, this is their claim.  The disregard for honesty and common decency necessary to say something like this is breathtaking.

Steven Chapman, Town Hall:  "Republicans are mystified that in a nation they know as fundamentally conservative, a president they regard as deeply radical has been re-elected. But Americans didn't vote for Barack Obama because they are liberal. They voted for him because they are conservative."

I think Tuesday fried something in this guy's brain.

Nidra Poller, American Thinker:  "Here comes the 21st-century inside-out version of the Know-nothings -- pro-immigrant and anti-American, anti-Christian and Islam-friendly, the Know-nothings welcome with open arms the cool trendy vanguard of totalitarian conquest...Am I wrong in thinking that what has just happened bears no resemblance to a normal election?"

Yes, you are wrong, Nidra.  And you are also a gigantic jackass.

Newsmax:  "Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says President Barack Obama’s victory Tuesday isn’t as significant as Democrats would like you to believe.  “America, don’t lose heart,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “This election is not an ‘Obama mandate,’ nor is it a rejection of conservatism.”

No, of course not, Sarah.  Keep telling yourself that.  Now, go away already.

Timothy C. Daughtry, American Thinker:  "Why We Lost the Republic...With reports of voting irregularities in several battleground states, we might never know who actually won the 2012 election"

Expect to hear more about how Obama cheated his way in.  It should provide some amusement the next four years.  Timothy continues:

"And now we will find out if countless patriots at Tea Party rallies around the country were on to something when they voiced the fear that America will not survive four more years of Barack Obama."

They weren't on TO something, Timothy, they were just ON something.  Get the difference?

Yuval Levin, National Review Online:  "What Is Required...Conservatives must be ourselves, but better."

Better.  Well, at least that won't be hard.

Diana West, Town Hall:  "The High Road Led Straight to Defeat for Romney"

The high road.  Right.  Well, if the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, I guess the high road is paved with lies.

Paula Bolyard, PJ Media:  "won by convincing the youth demographic to vote against their best interests. They voted for Obama 60-37, after he plied them with free pizza, bus rides with Jack Black, and free concerts with Jay -Z and Bruce Springsteen. They were hauled from their college campuses to the polls to vote by the busload."

Right, they voted for him because he gave them free pizza.  And I must agree with Paula that having decent medical care and being able to afford college are not in their best interest- that sort of thing only interferes with their getting out there and going to work as ditch diggers or porters; the sort of career they are fit for, due to not having the foresight to be born to rich and powerful parents.

David Steinberg, PJ Media:  "Conservatives care, liberals do not. The world thinks the opposite is true. "
Conservatives care alright- they care about themselves.  And liberals?  Why, trying to give people medical care or a fair shot in life? That's not caring, it's...well, something bad, right?

Byron York, Washington Examiner:  "In 2016, GOP needs a candidate voters believe in"

No shit, Sherlock.  The question is, where are you going to find one that can get past the delusional, ignorant idiots that you turned your party over to?

Monty Pelerin, American Thinker:  "Obama's Election Seals Our Fate...The Obama re-election dooms the country."

Doom.  DOOM!  Really, grow up, Monty.  What do you think this is, a video game?

Gina Miller, Renew America:  "Non-zombie Americans brace for Obama's 'flexibility'

Good point there, Gina.  People who voted for Obama are zombies.  Only zombies believe the truth.  Real Americans go for the lies that you spew out every day.  I hope you and your idiot fellow travelers have a great time sitting on the sidelines and watching Democrats fix the damage you've done, just like they always have to do.  Actually, now that I think about that, I don't hope that.  After all the problems that Conservative idiocy has caused the country, I hope you have a headache that lasts the whole four years.

Well, folks, as if we couldn't have guessed this would happen, Tuesday's little surprise doesn't seem to have taught the right wing one damned thing.  A few days and they will be raving about the birth certificate again, and searching high and low for some pathetic excuse to impeach Obama.  Unfortunately for them, it seems like we've finally reached the point in this country (thank heaven) where the sane people outnumber the lunatics.  So, let them keep it up.  Every idiotic remark they make just brings one step closer the time when they weed themselves out of the intellectual gene pool.

What a bunch of crybabies. They're just whining and showing their class envy. They won't be getting all the "free stuff" Obama promised his voters. I'm expecting a new car and enough cash so I never have to work again like the chumps of the 53%.

Neal Boortz: “Obama a bigger disaster than Sandy. But media didn't create Sandy as they did Obama, so they feel free to report the destruction.”

Ah that ‘liberal media’ again eh? But Rush Limbaugh doesn’t blame them. Oh no…

He blames women:

“(Obama) treats them like vaginas and they say he’s my man”.
....
Oh PLEASE, Limbaugh and fellow cretins, do keep saying bad things about women…
Heck just call them c__ts and have done with.
Call ALL of them sluts.
That’s going to be such a winner for you in elections to come….

And you find more pro-rape senators to speak their mind, surely.

"...But Americans didn't vote for Barack Obama because they are liberal. They voted for him because they are conservative." GE, do you think this guy meant that voters (correctly) found the retrogressive policies of the Right to be radical, and that Democrats values of fairness and civility to be conservative??

No, I think the guy is living in a bubble of delusion, and he can't accept the fact that Americans aren't all teabaggers. It's easier for him to believe something that makes no sense at all than admit that he was wrong.
