Unserious

George Will, at Town Hall:

"This Will Not End Well-
Having vowed to "finish the job," Obama revealed Tuesday that he thinks the job in Afghanistan is to get out of Afghanistan. This is an unserious policy."

An unserious policy. As opposed, say, to the very serious policy of continuing to waste money and lives propping up the corrupt government of an ex-oil executive (that would be Karzai) who was put in power by the corrupt government of another ex-oil executive (that would be Bush) who showed no interest whatsoever in going after the real financiers of the terrorists, who he preferred to kiss and hold hands with.

Well, at least no one can say of Bush and Cheney that their war in Afghanistan didn't end well. It never ended at all.

Iran and opium plantation owners?

Derek, you know who I am referring to- the number one supporters of Muslim radicalism for the last two centuries, the Saudi "government."

Don't play dumb with me.

Funny, you mock conservatives for "hating" muslims yet you do the same, merely pointing fingers at Mecca instead of the militants.

Derek,

Your comment deserves a real answer. I am pointing my finger at Riyadh, not Mecca. The Saudi "royal family" is a secular dictatorship which presides over one of the most restrictive societies on earth. They exploit Islam, through their promotion of the violent Wahabi sect, to advance their interests and manipulate Muslims around the world. This does not make them good Muslims any more than all of George Bush's blather about religion made him a good Christian.
