A Little "Real News"
In the absence of right wing lunacy that didn't bore me into a coma today, here's a little evidence that plenty of laughs are to be gotten from our mainstream media too:

Isn't this a little like saying that spirits are low at the L. A. Clippers? They've been screwing up their jobs for fifty years now. Why shouldn't their spirits be low?
Fox News: "Cheney: Torture probe ‘offends hell out of me"
Well, whatever comes of it, at least we have that to be thankful for. Just don't stand in front of his shotgun. You know how he gets when he's mad.

And I thought only liberals went in for hating the United States. I guess it's okay if you're a Republican. As usual.
Here's a little something their leader had to say:

You know what? Amen to that. I'm tired of supporting these jackasses with my tax money while they spend their time throwing tantrums. I think we made a big mistake keeping them the first time. This time, hit the road, Jack.

Dean Baker, and anyone on earth who had ever read a book about the Great Depression. I guess it's too much to expect any of our politicians or our press to actually know something about their subjects, because it was obvious to anyone with half a brain that another Republican frenzy of greed like the 1920's was going to result in another Republican depression like the 1930's.
Well, that was just to remind you that our country wouldn't be in the shape it's in today, and we wouldn't have a pack of violent right wing maniacs running around doing everything they can to make things worse, if the press had done its job the last couple of decades, instead of deciding it was more fun to be Republican cheerleaders.
